An apparently-suicidal man darted across Highway 111 in Palm Desert this weekend and was fatally struck by a moving truck.
Marcos Solano, 22, of Indio, ran into traffic on 111 west of Deep Canyon Road early Saturday, after making a suicidal statement, the Riverside County Coroner's Office reported.
The fatal incident was reported at 1:51 a.m. and Solano was pronounced dead at the scene.
