Man Found Shot to Death in Indio

"Right now everything's suspicious. We're looking for people with information, anyone who heard or saw anything," an Indio police spokesman said.

The body of a 36-year-old man who'd been shot in the head was found Friday in Indio.

The Indio Police Department received a call shortly before 1 a.m. about the discovery in the parking area of the Mountain View Apartments complex in the 83-300 block of Avenue 44.

Indio police spokesman Ben Guitron said there were no reports of people hearing shots fired, and no weapon was found.

"Right now everything's suspicious. We're looking for people with information, anyone who heard or saw anything," he said.

The Riverside County Coroner's Office listed the man as a homicide victim and said he was an Indio resident. His name was not immediately released.
