Man Robs La Quinta Bank

The suspect took an undisclosed amount from the US Bank on Highway 111 Wednesday.

A man entered a US Bank branch in La Quinta and robbed it, evading capture, a sheriff's sergeant said Thursday.

Deputies were dispatched at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday to the bank at 78-435 Highway 111 where the suspect walked in, approached a teller and demanded money, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Steve DaSilva said.

No weapon was used and no one was hurt during the hold-up. The suspect ran out of the bank branch and was not arrested, DaSilva said.
