Grocery Store Flasher Remains At Large

The suspect was described as a Latino man in his 30s and about 5 feet 7 inches tall, according to Palm Desert Police.

A man who exposed his genitals to two children in an grocery store in Palm Desert remained at large, a sheriff's deputy said Wednesday.

Palm Desert police received a report of child annoying and indecent exposure at 5:21 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at the store at 74590 Highway 111, near Deep Canyon Road, according to Deputy Herlinda Valenzuela of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, which contracts with Palm Desert for its policing services.

The children were approached by a stranger in an aisle, Valenzuela said.

When the youths, whose ages were not released, turned around, they saw the man had his pants zipper down, and he exposed his genitals, according to the deputy.

The suspect was described as Latino with black hair in his 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and of slender build. He was last seen wearing a white baseball hat, blue jeans and black shoes.

The area was searched, but the suspect was not located.
