A missing Carson couple, both of whom suffered from Alzheimer's disease, have been identified in a deadly rollover crash on Interstate 10 near Chiriaco Summit, a California Highway Patrol officer said Wednesday.

The crash was reported around 12:20 p.m. Tuesday on eastbound I-10 east of Hayfield Road.

Jose and Consuelo Bracero, who were reported missing Monday afternoon after leaving their home in the 22000 block of Kinard Avenue in Carson, were eastbound in a 1999 Ford Escort which veered off the road, struck the dirt shoulder and flipped over, CHP Officer Mike Radford said.

Conseulo, 75, died at the scene, and Jose, the car's 73-year-old driver, was airlifted to JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, where he died. The couple were not wearing seatbelts, Radford said.
