New Traffic Signal Activated Today
Traffic signal on Berger Drive South at Frank Sinatra Drive will be operational at 9 a.m.
City workers will remove construction barricades and activate the traffic signal on Berger Drive South at Frank Sinatra Drive. The road is scheduled to open and the signal to begin operating at 9 a.m. today.
Newly constructed Berger Drive South, which was built to link the Palm Desert campuses of Cal State San Bernardino and the University of California, Riverside, will be open to vehicles.
The signal, which has been in place but inactive, will begin controlling traffic at the intersection, according to the city of Palm Desert traffic division.
