No Injuries In Pool Vehicle Fire

The vehicle was carrying pool chemicals, and 10 to 15 people were sheltered to keep them safe from any possible fumes, a fire official said.

Riverside County Environmental Health officials made quick work today of pool chemicals exposed during a vehicle fire in Bermuda Dunes.

The blaze was reported at 9:01 a.m. in the 42000 Block Capri Drive, according to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

The flames were out when firefighters arrived, but county health officials had to work to isolate and remove pool chlorine and muriatic acid, Hagemann said.
