A non-injury fire in Desert Hot Springs Sunday caused $20,000 damage to a single-story home, officials said.
The blaze in the 66000 block of Yucca Drive was reported at 5:34 a.m., according to Cal Fire/Riverside County fire information officer Melody Hendrickson.
Arriving firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the single-family home, Hendrickson said, but managed to contain the blaze to one bedroom and the living room.
It took 13 firefighters a little more than 20 minutes to quell the flames, officials said.
No one was home at the time, she said.
The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
