Two people were killed and three suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle Palm Desert crash Saturday.
At least one person had to be extricated from a vehicle following the crash, which occurred about 9:45 p.m. at Washington Street -- near Avenue 38 -- according to Cal Fire/Riverside County fire information officer Jody Hagemann.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
