Palm Desert Hotel Fire Sets Off Sprinklers

Sprinklers went off in the attic, damaging a room on the third floor and another on the second floor, fire officials said.

A fire at the Marriott hotel in Palm Desert Monday set off sprinklers that damaged two rooms, but no one was hurt, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The fire at the Marriott Shadow Ridge in the 9000 block of Shadow Ridge Road was reported about 3:25 p.m., Jody Hagemann said.
