Palm Desert Man Found Dead
Police are looking into the Memorial Day death of the man, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot.
Sheriff's are investigating the death of a Palm Desert man who apparently shot himself in the head.
Someone reported a body near the 45-000 block of Verba Santa Drive
around 6:50 p.m. Monday evening. The body was that of a 50-year-old man who "suffered from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,'' according to a statement from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The man's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
