POLICE BLOTTER: Assault With A Cocktail Glass

A review of reported crimes from Jan. 12-18 from the Palm Desert Police Department, which is staffed by sheriff's deputies.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

12:20 a.m.: Officers responded to Rite Aid Pharmacy at 42155 Washington St., Palm Desert, and arrested John Adams, 39, of El Monte, for public intoxication.

5:05 p.m.: Officers conducted a warrant service in the 44800 block of Ramona Ave, and arrested Robert Yanes, 20, of Palm Desert for an outstanding felony burglary warrant.

4 p.m.: The Burglary Suppression Unity served a search warrant in the 82100 block of Ocotillo in the city of Indio. During the service of the search warrant they located a stolen laptop computer, and one silver dollar taken during a residential burglary. Jose Palma, 21, of Indio was arrested for possession of stolen property.

7:51 p.m.: Officers responded to 72549 Highway 111, Target, reference a theft, and arrested Josefina Gutierrez, 40, of Palm Desert for shoplifting.

Monday, Jan. 16

4:21 p.m.: Officers responded to several subjects fighting at the basketball court of the Vineyard Apartments; 37600 College, Palm Desert. David Jeremy Pierson, 35, of Rancho Mirage was arrested for public intoxication.

4 p.m.: Officers conducted a warrant service within the 72700 block of Willow, Palm Desert and arrested Kevin Botley, 32, of Palm Desert for a felony warrant for making death threats.

Sunday, Jan. 15

12:52 a.m.: Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon at Costa’s Nightclub inside the Marriott Desert Springs, Palm Desert. John Oscar Alexander, 34, of New York, was arrested for assaulting another subject with a cocktail glass.

2:22 a.m.: Officers responded to 77-777 Country Club, Palm Desert regarding a family disturbance. Christopher Steward Parnell, 24, of Palm Desert was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and public intoxication.

Saturday, Jan. 14

2:40 a.m.: Officers stopped to assist a motorist at Portola and Country Club, Palm Desert. Andy Caldera, 26, of Coachella was arrested for driving under the influence.

Friday, Jan. 13

2:35 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 73000 block of Rancho Road, Palm Desert regarding a family disturbance. , 43, of Palm Desert, was reportedly intoxicated, making threats and had access to firearms. Attempts were made to get Brockman to come outside of his residence but he refused. Entry was made into the residence and Brockman was taken into custody. It was discovered Brockman had access to numerous firearms inside the residence and had fired one round of ammunition through his television set. Brockman was arrested for discharging a firearm in a negligent manner and violating a restraining order.

8:10 p.m.: Officers arrested Raymundo Rodriguez, 20, of Indio for shoplifting at the (Macy's).

Thursday, Jan. 12

4:02 a.m.: Officers arrested Chloe Debeau, 23, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence after she crashed into an unoccupied parked truck at Fairway Drive and Deep Canyon Road.

9:34 a.m.: Officers conducted a bicycle stop at Alessandro Drive and San Jose Avenue and arrested Miguel Ayala, 33, of Indio for possession of methamphetamine.

11:57 a.m.: Officers arrested Nicholas Longo, 31, of Palm Desert in the 42-000 block of Idaho, for an outstanding felony domestic violence warrant.
