Wednesday, May 11

10:16 p.m.: Officers responded to the area of Aster Dr. and Florine Dr. in reference to a fight in progress between two male subjects. On arrival, officers contacted Alexander Melendez. A physical altercation ensued. Out of custody charges will be filed for battery on a peace officer.

Tuesday, May 10

10 a.m.: Officers arrested a Palm Desert High School student for intimidating a victim.

3:05 p.m.: Officers arrested a Palm Desert Charter Middle School student for possession of marijuana.

Monday, May 9

8:33 p.m.: Officers arrested Colleen Anderson, 50, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence at Elkhorn and Florida Avenues.

11:53 p.m.: Officers arrested Souri Rivera, 29, of Palm Desert for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at Shadow Mountain and Ephedra.

Sunday, May 8

9:46 a.m.: Officers conducted a pedestrian check at Highway 111 and San Pablo Avenue. John Summers, 45, of Palm Desert was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant and possession of a controlled substance.

Saturday, May 7

5:10 p.m.: Officers responded to 34500 Monterey Ave. (Wal-Mart) in reference to an argument in the parking lot. John Friel, 45, of Arizona was arrested for public intoxication.

Friday, May 6

8 a.m.: Officers arrested Deborah Agnew, 48, of Palm Desert for violation of a domestic restraining order at 73000 block of Krug in Palm Desert.

12:15 p.m.: Officers conducted a follow up investigation in reference to a report of vandalism to a Channel 3 News van. The crime occurred at Jensen’s Market on Cook St. and two juveniles were seen running from the scene. Two students were arrested for vandalism and released to their guardian.

3 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team arrested John Peters, 50, of Palm Desert in the 78000 block of Runaway Bay, for three domestic violence warrants.

Thursday, May 5

1:36 a.m.: Officers arrested Nicholas Clifford, 23, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence at the 74200 block of East Hovley.

7 p.m.: Officers responded to Highway 111 and Fred Waring Drive in reference to a male subject yelling at passing vehicles and pedestrians. Officers arrested Dennis Betts, a transient of Palm Desert for public intoxication.

Wednesday May 4

1:45 a.m.: Officers arrested Stephanie Ervin, 23, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence of alcohol at Fred Waring and Washington.

8:50 a.m.: Officers took a report of a battery on the school campus, between two Palm Desert High School students. The incident occurred after school on 5/3/11 approximately 1440 hours. The suspect was released to his mother pending charges being filed.

2 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team arrested Ryan Kauffield, 24, of Palm Desert for a felony warrant at San Pascual and Santa Rosa.
