Palm Desert police blotter for Nov. 14-16

A review of reported crimes – including the discovery of two Swastikas at the Joslyn Center – from the Palm Desert Police Department, which is staffed by Riverside County sheriff's deputies.

3:46 p.m.: Officers responded to the , 73750 Catalina Way, reference a vandalism. Officers discovered that someone dug two Swastikas into the grass along the east perimeter of the parking lot. The investigation is ongoing.

7:24 p.m.: Officers arrested Kyle Folk, 25, of Palm Desert during a traffic stop at 34500 Monterey Ave., Palm Desert (). Folk was arrested for possession of heroin located by K9 Van Snapp.

Monday, Nov. 14

9 a.m.: Officers arrested a 16 year-old student for theft of a bicycle. The theft occurred on 10/13/11 and the bicycle was positively identified by the victim and confirmed with the matching serial number.

9:17 a.m.: Officers responded to the reference a report of a robbery in progress in the parking lot. Upon arrival it was determined that a theft had occurred from Macys’ and one suspect had fled on foot northbound through the parking lot. Officers saw a second suspect attempting to flee and apprehended Tito Olmedo, 27, of Coachella.
