Police Seek Help on Gucci Bandit

Investigators look for help in weekend robbery on El Paseo

Authorities put out a call for the public's help today in tracking down a burglar who of merchandise from the Gucci store in Palm Desert.

The man entered through a rear door of the store in the 73-000 block of
El Paseo just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday -- the store hadn't yet opened for the
day -- and took an undisclosed amount of merchandise, sheriff's Deputy Angel
Ramos said.

The suspect was about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a heavy build, Ramos said.

The sheriff's department asked anyone with information about the break-
in to call the sheriff's Palm Desert station at (760) 836-1660, or Coachella
Valley Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-7867 to leave an anonymous tip.
