PD Police to Conduct DUI Checkpoint on Friday Night
Checkpoint will focus on impaired and unlicensed drivers.
The Palm Desert Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Driver's License checkpoint on Friday, August 3, from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m, within the city of Palm Desert.
The exact location of the checkpoint will, for obvious reasons, not be announced.
"A DUI checkpoint is a proven effective method for achieving this goal," said Sgt. Dave Adams of the Palm Desert Police. "By publicizing these enforcement and education efforts, the Palm Desert Police Department believes motorists can be deterred from drinking and driving."
