Palm Desert Police Track Down Man in Possession of Stolen Goods from Local Burglary

An Indio man suspected in thefts around the Coachella Valley was behind bars Wednesday.

Salahaldeen Alwishah, 25, was arrested in Indio in the 82800 block of Avenue 44 about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff's Sgt. Brad Farwell said.     Shortly after 8 a.m. that morning, a burglary was reported in the 37700 block of Hollister Drive in Palm Desert, and the investigation led authorities to a market on Avenue 44 in Indio, Farwell said.

Alwishah, a market employee, had "numerous" stolen items, including items stolen from the Palm Desert residence, he said.
