Palm Desert Teen, Felon Arrested in Overnight Cell Phone Store Burglary

The 19-year-old was found walking in front of a nearby business to where the alleged crime occurred.

A 19-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested Monday for allegedly burglarizing a local cell phone store when he was apparently found nearby with three phones and gloves.

According to sheriff's Sgt. Dave Eichelt, a burglar alarm went off about 2:30 a.m. at the Boost Mobile store at 44759 San Pablo Ave. in Palm Desert.

Deputies arrived and detained Cody Riddle, who was walking in front of a nearby business, and found a 9mm handgun on the ground a feet away from him, Eichelt said.

A jacket with Riddle's name on it, a pair of gloves and three phones were also found in the area, Eichelt said.

Riddle- who is a felon- had a no-bail warrant for burglary, according to jail records. He was booked at the county jail in Indio, where he was being held without bail, with arraignment expected Wednesday at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
