PD Woman Arrested After Walgreen's Hold-Up

Police arrest woman in connection to pharmacy theft

A Palm Desert woman was arrested today on suspicion of robbing a Walgreens pharmacy of prescription drugs at knifepoint, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

The robbery was reported at 8:30 a.m. at the Walgreens store at 44830
Monterey Ave., said sheriff's Lt. David Teets.

The suspect "entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded
prescription drugs. The employee complied with the suspect's demands, at which time the suspect fled on foot out of the business and into a light brown
sedan,'' Teets said.

Detectives determined through viewing of video surveillance footage that
the suspect, 36-year-old Lisa Raquel Mynhier, was a repeat customer, he said.
She was arrested in the 72600 block of Fred Waring Drive, where evidence
allegedly connecting her to the robbery was found, Teets said.

Mynhier was booked at the county jail in Indio on suspicion of armed
robbery. She has several prior convictions, including receiving stolen
property, possessing a controlled substance without a prescription, forging a
prescription and prescription drug fraud, according to court records.
