A Palm Desert woman died in a crash Saturday in the Needles area, according to the San Bernardino County coroner.
The crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Aug. 10 on Needles Highway south of River Road, coroner's personnel said in a statement.
Linda Ebaugh, 47, of Palm Desert, was driving a 2012 Honda Civic south on Needles Highway and collided with a northbound Chevrolet Cavalier, coroner's personnel said. Paramedics responded and pronounced Ebaugh dead at the scene.
Needles is near the Colorado River, about 175 miles northeast of Palm Desert.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
