A 36-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Desert Hot Springs Wednesday, according to police.
The collision was reported at 5:30 a.m. near Mountain View Road and Whitney Court. The driver stopped at the scene, according to Desert Hot Springs police Cmdr. Ken Peary, who said an investigation was under way.
The victim's name was withheld until her family could be notified.
