POLICE: Alcohol a Likely Factor in Early Morning Crash in La Quinta

A 22-year-old La Quinta man may face a DUI charge following the 4 a.m. crash.

Alcohol may have been a cause for an early morning single-car crash, authorities said today.

The crash was reported about 4 this morning. The driver, 22-year-old Michael Donnelly, of La Quinta, was traveling in the area of Verbena Drive and Dandelion Street in La Quinta when he struck a curb, La Quinta Police officials said.

The collision caused moderate damage to his vehicle, officers said. Charges of DUI will be submitted to the District Attorney's office for their consideration, officers said.
