A Thermal man was free on $5,000 bail Monday night, having been arrested earlier in the day on suspicion of DUI, police and jail records indicated.
21-year-old Darrin Kimberlin is accused of crashing his car on Avenue 58 and Jefferson in La Quinta, around 2:30 a.m., according to Sheriff's Sergeant Randy Vasquez.
Vasquez said Kimberlin was driving west on Avenue 58 "when he failed to negotiate the turn at Jefferson Street."
