Police Blotter For Feb. 10-12 Includes Parole, Probation Checks

A review of reported crimes out of the Palm Desert Police Department, which is staffed by sheriff's deputies. Officers conducted several parole and probation checks in response to a spike in burglaries along El Paseo.

Here's the police blotter for Palm Desert for Feb. 10-12:

Thursday, Feb. 10

5:02 p.m.: Officers responded to the Macy’s at 72780 Highway 111 and arrested Manuel Arce, 33, a transient from Palm Desert, for commercial burglary, possession of heroin and parole violation.

Friday, Feb. 11

3 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Royal Palm Drive and San Pablo Avenue and arrested Cheryle Lutzke, 50, of Palm Desert for possession of methamphetamine.

1305 Hours: Officers responded to Highway 111 and San Pablo Avenue in reference to a suspicious persons call. Jesus Hernandez, 20, a transient from Palm Desert, was arrested for being under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant.

5 p.m.: Officers responded to El Paseo and San Luis Rey Avenue in reference to an intoxicated subject. Patrick McQueeney, 56, of Portland was arrested for public intoxication.

5:19 p.m.: Members of the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team conducted a probation search on Sandpiper Street. They arrested; Heather Franklin, 35, of Rancho Mirage for possession of methamphetamine and child endangerment. Adam Swain, 27, of Palm Desert for possession of methamphetamine, Jeremiah Pantoja, 32, of Palm Desert for drug paraphernalia, and Alan Avita, 39, of Desert Hot Springs for possession of methamphetamine for sales. Child Protective Services took custody of Franklin’s child.

8:15 p.m.: Officers responded to the Macy’s at 72780 Highway 111 in reference to two subjects being detained. Joana Solis, 20, and Juana Solis, 64, both from Blythe, were arrested for shoplifting.

Saturday, Feb. 12

4 p.m.: Officers responded to the Sears at 72840 Highway 111 and arrested Abraham Mercado, 18, of Cathedral City for shoplifting.

9:10 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team conducted a parole search at a residence located on Candlewood Street. Joshua Jones, 25, of Palm Desert was arrested for possession of marijuana for sales, possession of narcotics for sales and a parole violation. Mattia Boucher, 23, of Palm Desert was arrested for possession of narcotics and possession of brass knuckles.
