Wednesday, March 2

9:59 p.m.: Officers responded to an alarm at the Ace Hardware at 74058 Highway 111. Upon arrival they located a broken glass door along. During the investigation, several prowling calls were generated in close proximity to Ace Hardware. Officers detained a 17 year-old male on San Marino Circle. The detained juvenile was identified as one of three suspects that committed the burglary. The investigation is ongoing.

Tuesday, March 1

1:52 p.m.: Officers arrested Cynthia Ellis, 53, of Palm Desert for resisting and obstructing a peace officer at within the 47-400 block of Highway 74.

Monday, Feb. 28

5:48 p.m.: Officers arrested Carlos Fuentes, 57, of Coachella for driving under the influence and hit and run at 74-855 Country Club Drive, Marriott Desert Springs.

Sunday, Feb. 27

2:02 a.m.: Officers arrested Marissa Estrada, 21, for driving under the influence at Highway 111 and Monterey Avenue.

6:37 p.m.: Officers arrested Dominic Betts, 20, of Banning for a misdemeanor warrant for resisting/obstructing at Harris and Country Club.

Saturday, Feb. 26

1:35 a.m.: Officers arrested Kevin Kruger, 25, of Palm Springs for driving under the influence at Park View and Monterey Avenue.

2:48 a.m.: Officers responded to San Juan and Fairhaven Avenue reference a hit-and-run traffic collision. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as a 16-year-old juvenile fled the scene after driving through a cinder block wall and into a rain basin. The juvenile, uninjured, was later contacted and arrested

10:56 a.m.: Officers responded to an attempt vehicle theft at the YMCA near San Pablo Avenue. The victim interrupted the suspect a Hispanic male adult, 40's, 6'00", 200, black hair, clean shaven with a mustache, as he punched the lock of the victim's vehicle. Victim was not injured and the suspect fled in gray or silver minivan.

Friday, Feb. 25

2:24 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on El Paseo at Highway 111 and arrested Tanya Nemeth, 23, of Yucca Valley for driving under the influence of alcohol.

6:10 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Golita at Deep Canyon and arrested William Byron Jr., 38, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence.

10:30 p.m.: Investigations and members of Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team served three warrants in the Desert Hot Springs area and searched a Cathedral City residence stemming from the investigation of the T-Mobile robbery on February 15th. Julio Aguilar, a 20-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident, and Jose Cruz Gutierrez, a 23-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident, were arrested on February 23rd after robbing a West Covina T-Mobile. Several cellular phones were recovered during the searches, and evidence linking the suspects to the robbery was discovered.

Thursday, Feb. 24

7:29 a.m.: Officers arrested Jorge Parra, 43, of Desert Hot Springs for a felony domestic violence warrant on Wildcat.

8:28 a.m.: Officers responded to a domestic dispute on College. Investigation showed the victim’s boyfriend pushed her and stole her cell phone. The victim signed a citizen’s arrest. Michael Franco, 40, of Indio was arrested for domestic battery and petty theft.

6:11 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on the corner of Monterey Avenue and Varner Road Ben Murphy, 33, of Cathedral City was arrested for possession of hash, marijuana and various prescription pills for sale.

Wednesday, Feb. 23

10 a.m.: Officers arrested Cynthia Ellis, 53, of Palm Desert for a felony domestic violence warrant on Diamond Drove in Palm Desert.

6:48 p.m.: Officers responded to 74601 Highway 111 (John’s Restaurant) in reference to a "man down" call. David Colwell, 52, a transient of La Quinta was arrested for public intoxication.

7:38 p.m.: Officers arrested Melinda Yoder, 39, of Palm Desert for spousal battery within the 40100 block of Portulaca Court.

Tuesday, Feb. 22

5:05 p.m.: Officers conducted a pedestrian check on Alelie Mercado, 25, a transient of Palm Desert at Highway 111 and San Luis Rey. Mercado refused to cooperate with Officers and a physical altercation ensued. Mercado was arrested for resisting arrest and a misdemeanor warrant.

9:38 p.m.: The Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop at California and New York. They arrested Orlando Nava, 42, of Coachella and Rebecca Aguilar, 32, of Coachella for felony drug warrants. Aguilar will also be charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Monday, Feb. 21

3:51 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on Fred Waring Drive and Phyllis Jackson and arrested Cheryl Lutzke, 50, of Palm Desert for possession of methamphetamine.

8:45 a.m.: Officers contacted Chucker Leppe, 31, of Palm Desert within the 46400 block of Ryway Place and arrested him for a grand theft warrant.

6 p.m.: Officers conducted a follow up investigation to a past domestic violence call at the Marriott Desert Springs on Feb. 14. David Lee, 23, of Palm Desert was arrested for spousal abuse. Lee’s mother, Kathlyn Hansen, 56, of Palm Desert interfered with the officers and was arrested for interfering/obstructing an officer.

7:40 p.m.: Officers responded to Auto Zone, 73800 Highway 111 regarding disturbance. Judith Pineda, 44, of Palm Desert was arrested for public intoxication.

10:21 p.m.: Officers responded to an unknown trouble at One Quail Place Apartments, 72600 Fred Waring Drive. Initial reports indicated a 19 year-old female was allegedly sexually assaulted by two males. The report proved to be unfounded.

Sunday, Feb. 20

2:20 a.m.: Officers responded to 77600 Michigan and arrested James Pullins, 25, of Palm Desert for a parolee at large warrant.

9:01 p.m.: Officers arrested Gregory Nagy, 39, a transient out of Palm Desert, for being under the influence of a controlled substance at Town Center and Highway 111.

Saturday, Feb. 19

12:30 a.m.: Officers responded to the 73300 block of Country Club Drive reference a disturbance and arrested Cameron Butler, 25, of Palm Desert for public intoxication.

11:57 a.m.: Officers responded to Costco reference a shoplifter in custody. Francisco Ayala, 55, of Desert Hot Springs was arrested for commercial burglary.

5:21 p.m.: Officers responded to 74590 Highway 111 (Albertson’s) in reference to a call of annoying and molesting children and indecent exposure. According to two children, a Hispanic male in his 30’s, 5’7" slender, with black hair, white baseball cap, blue jeans and black shoes approached them as they were in an isle inside the store. When the children turned and looked at the suspect, he had his pants zipper down and exposed his genitals. The area was search but the suspect was not located.

6 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 74 and El Paseo and arrested Regina Gomez, 37, of Cathedral City for a felony narcotics warrant.

Thursday, Feb. 17

12:20 a.m.: Officers conducted a pedestrian check at San Gorgonio and San Carlos and arrested Michael Jean-Baptiste, 23, of La Quinta for an outstanding burglary warrant.

3:23 p.m.: Officers conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 111 and Larkspur Lane, and arrested Cynthia Gabriela Rocha, 31, of La Quinta for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

5:39 p.m.: Officers responded to 72840 Highway 111 (Sears) and arrested Marvella Rosales, 18, of Indio for commercial burglary.

9:06 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team conducted an occupied vehicle check in the northwest parking lot located at Cook St. and Frank Sinatra. Arnulfo Arjona, 35, of La Quinta was arrested for possession of marijuana. A Hispanic male was arrested for being in possession of a prohibited weapon.

11:55 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team arrested Ignacio Tolento, 28, of Palm Desert for being under the influence of a controlled substance at Yucca and Ocotillo.
