Tuesday, April 5

2:17 a.m.: Officers arrested Alfonso Amador Sanchez Jr., 25, of Cathedral City for possession of a dangerous weapon and making criminal threats. Sanchez was arrested in the 73000 block of Highway 111 in Palm Desert.

1:10 p.m.: Officers arrested Philip Arnold, 25, of Palm Desert for domestic battery at the 73000 block of Olive Court after he struck his wife.

3 p.m.: Officers arrested Anthony Days, 24, of Alaska for burglary within the 73-000 block of Highway 111.

3:55 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team arrested Michael McDonald, 58, of Palm Desert for possession of a controlled substance and committing a felony while out on bail. Also arrested was Elizabeth Marshall, 37, of Palm Desert for possession of a controlled substance, and under the influence of a controlled substance. McDonald and Marshall were arrested at the 43000 block of Palmilla Circle following the execution of a search warrant at the location.

7:30 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team conducted follow up reference the earlier search warrant. They responded back to the 43000 block of Palmilla Circle and arrested Richard Carrera, 42, of Palm Desert for possession of a controlled substance.

Monday, April 4

12:41 a.m.: Officers arrested Ann Carrillo, 40, of Coachella for public intoxication at 40205 Washington St. at TJ's Steaks & Pasta.

3:40 p.m.: Officers arrested Israel Huerta, 33, of Palm Desert for violation of a restraining order within the 73600 block of Santa Rosa.

Sunday, April 3

1:13 a.m.: Officers responded to San Jose reference a suspicious circumstance. The reporting parted stated someone was banging on the front door and ringing the doorbell. Officers checked the property and located Anthony Jacob Marquez, 25, of Palm Desert sleeping on a bench in the backyard.

2:15 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Fred Waring Drive and San Pablo and arrested Angela Tortual, 37, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence of alcohol.

3:06 a.m.: Officers responded to Dinah Shore and Monterey reference a single car traffic collision and arrested Bryan Delair, 23, of Cathedral City for driving under the influence.

Saturday, April 2

8:12 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances on California. Officers arrived and located a deceased 37-year-old female. Investigations responded and assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

10:34 a.m.: Officers responded to the 77300 block of Missouri reference a domestic disturbance. David Wilson, 54, of Palm Desert was arrested for domestic battery.

3:10 p.m.: Officers responded to 72840 Highway 111 at the Icing Store and arrested a 17-year-old female out of Bermuda Dunes for shoplifting.

4:08 p..m.: Officers responded to 72840 Highway 111 Macy’s and arrested Eric Rodriguez, 18, of La Quinta for commercial burglary.

4:34 p.m.: Officers responded to 72880 Highway 111 at Sears and arrested Amie Gutman, 18, of Indio a Sears employee for embezzlement.

4:44 p.m.: Officers responded to 74855 Country Club Drive at the Marriott Desert Springs in reference to a physical altercation between two males on the seventh floor. Arrested was Michael Medina, 28, of Placentia, for public intoxication.

8:34 p.m.: Officers responded to 72880 Highway 111 at Sears and arrested Eva Araniva, 34, of Cathedral City for shoplifting with a 15 year old.

9:29 p.m.: Officers responded to 74855 Country Club Drive at the Marriott Desert Springs in reference to a male and a female extremely intoxicated in the lobby and becoming argumentative with staff. Arrested was Desiree Sander, 40, for public intoxication.

Friday, April 1

3 a.m.: Officers arrested James Head, 28, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence of alcohol at Cabrillo and San Marino.

2 p.m.: Officers responded to a found grenade on Shadow Mountain. The reporting party located a grenade in the trash dumpster at the nine-unit apartment complex. The apartment complex was evacuated and Shadow Mountain was closed between Lupine and Joshua Tree. Members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Hazardous Device Team responded to the scene and safely removed the grenade.

Thursday, March 31

5 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team arrested Ricardo Rivera, 37, of Palm Desert for a parole violation in the 73000 block of Country Club Drive.

8:15 p.m.: Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team arrested Grady Myers, 29, of Palm Desert for being under the influence of a controlled substance and a parole violation at Deep Canyon and Coral Bells.

9:21 p.m.: Officers arrested Vincent Charron, 21, of Palm Desert for a felony narcotics warrant at the 77000 block of Michigan Avenue.

Wednesday, March 30

2:30 a.m.: Officers arrested Gaitan Carrette, 71, of Palm Desert for domestic battery on Black Mesa Lane, Palm Desert Greens C. C.

10:45 a.m.: Officers arrested Robin Hotwagner, 41, of Palm Desert for public intoxication at the Red Barn. 2:14 p.m.: Officers responded to the 73600 block of De Anza Way and arrested Eric Knutson, 62, a transient of Palm Desert for trespassing.

2:45 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on the corner of Panorama and Peppergrass and arrested the passenger in the vehicle, Greg Pearson, 51, of Desert Hot Springs for a felony narcotics warrant.

Tuesday, March 29

2:23 a.m.: Officers arrested Stephen May, 35, a transient out of Palm Desert, for possession of heroin and syringe at an apartment in the 45000 block of Deep Canyon.

9:45 p.m.: Officers responded to Portola Avenue and El Paseo reference a traffic collision and arrested a 16-year-old resident of Palm Desert for DUI (marijuana) and possession of marijuana.

11:26 p.m.: Officers responded to the Marriott Desert Villas, reference guests throwing beer cans at security. A juvenile was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for battery on a peace officer. The juvenile was also identified as a runaway out of La Habra.

Monday, March 28

2:43 a.m.: Officers arrested Christine Sandoval, 23, for driving under the influence at Cook Street and Highway 111.

9 a.m.: Officers arrested Johnny Brewster, 19, of Palm Desert for a felony assault warrant at 72000 Fred Waring Dr.

Sunday, March 27

4:30 p.m.: Officers arrested Ronny Bohne, 57, of Palm Desert for violation of a restraining order within the 73-800 block of Santa Rosa.

Saturday, March 26

3:43 a.m.: Officers arrested Daniel Ramirez Calderon, 26, of Palm Desert for domestic violence.

9:56 p.m.: Officers arrested Joseph Gilbert, 46, of Rancho Mirage for public intoxication.

9:56 p.m.: Officers arrested Ken Paider, 71, of La Quinta at Le Peon restaurant, 73-399 El Paseo. Paider was booked for battery, vandalism, and public intoxication.

Friday, March 25           

8:31 p.m.: Palm Desert Officers responded to the intersection of Highway 111 and San Pablo in reference a traffic collision involving a Sun Bus. Chelsea Elizabeth Kellner, 24, of Palm Desert was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Thursday, March 24

7 a.m.: All Palm Desert Station Special Enforcement Teams, with the assistance of several other task forces, conducted a parole compliance sweep in the Palm Desert Station jurisdiction. The following subjects were arrested within the city of Palm Desert. They were arrested on various charges ranging from outstanding felony warrants, possession of marijuana and other drugs and parole violations: Willie Moore, 40, John Prock, 29, and Karina Castro, 20.

3:02 p.m.: Officers arrested David Wilson, 40, of Palm Desert was arrested for two felony narcotics warrants within the 77000 block of Missouri Ave.

7:32 p.m.: Officers arrested Rosa Esther Martinez, 31, of Cathedral City for shoplifting within the 72000 block of Highway 111.

9:42 p.m.: Officers responded to the intersection of Fred Waring Drive. and Town Center in reference to a injury traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers arrested Richard Alden Lewis, 76, of Escondido for felony driving under the influence.

Wednesday, March 23

1:10 p.m.: Officers arrested a 14-year-old juvenile from Palm Desert High School for possession of marijuana on a school campus.

Tuesday, March 22

1:05 a.m.: Officers responded to 72624 Highway 111, La Donne Cucina Italian Restaurant, reference suspicious circumstances. The reporting party reported seeing a blue van parked in front and hearing banging sounds coming from the business. The officers found a broken window to the restaurant and entered to check for suspect(s). They found Shane Campbell, 36, of San Bernardino hiding in the restaurant office, and arrested him for burglary.

Monday, March 21

4:15 p.m.: Officers arrested Christopher Klinginsmith, 23, of La Quinta for shoplifting, battery, and violation of probation at Macy's.

8:30 p.m.: Officers arrested Kerry Cosgrove, 38, of Palm Desert for public intoxication. Arrest followed a call from a taxi cab driver who needed assistance with the subject.

Sunday, March 20

2:24 a.m.: Officer arrested Bridgette Ashley Sullivan, 20, of La Quinta for driving under the influence at San Luis Rey and Alessandro Drive.

Saturday, March 19

6:09 p.m.: Officers responded to 72810 Highway 111  at the Macy's in reference to a 15-year-old Cathedral City juvenile being detained for shoplifting. The charges will be filed out of custody. The juvenile was released to the mother.

6:37 p.m.: Officers responded to 72810 Highway 111 at the Macy's in reference to three suspects being detained for shoplifting. Edgar Garcia, 18, and two juveniles, all of Indio, were arrested. Garcia was cited and released; juveniles were released to parents.

8:13 p.m.: Officers arrested Yenifer Espinoza, 18, and Irene Loustaunau, 18, both of Palm Springs, for shoplifting at 72880 Highway 111 at the Sear's.

Friday, March 18

12:01 a.m.: Officers arrested John Walton, 51, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence. The arrest was a result of a traffic stop conducted at Shadow Mountain and Larkspur Lane.

12:41 a.m.: Officers arrested Lawrence Grisby, 66, of Costa Mesa for driving under the influence at Highway 111 and Portola Avenue.

6:50 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop on the corner of Washington Avenue and 42nd Avenue and arrested the passenger Gary Marruffo, 30, of San Diego for a felony warrant.

Thursday, March 17

6:30 p.m.: Officers responded to the 74000 block of Erin Street and arrested Emily Mercado, 44, of Palm Desert for corporal injury to a minor.
