Here is the police blotter for May 26-31:

Tuesday, May 31

3:30 p.m.: Officers arrested Shonte Robertson, 26, of Lake Havasu for possession of stolen property and burglary at the 74000 block of El Paseo. Matthew Palmer, 26, of Lake Havasu was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Monday, May 30

2:40 a.m.: Officers working extra duty at the Marriott Villas arrested Carlos Gutierrez, 30, of Citrus Heights, for public intoxication.

3:08 a.m.: Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Ocotillo and Shadow Mountain and arrested Jason Weed, 36, of San Diego for driving under the influence.

11:25 p.m.: Officers responded to a burglary at 44-841 San Pablo Ave., Palm Desert, (Tri-a-bike). Unknown suspect(s) smashed window with rock, entered and exited the business taking cash register. Cash register located near the corner of San Gorgonio and Las Flores Avenues.

(Follow-up to above case: At 2:17 a.m. on May 31, officers responded to another alarm at same address--back door alarm--and found one juvenile in alley-way riding a stolen BMX bike from the business. Other deputies arrived and found two more juveniles hiding in a nearby apartment patio. All three juveniles were from the Palm Desert area and were arrested and transported to Juvenile Hall. In addition, stolen property from an earlier burglary at the Bump and Grind trail head was discovered on two of the juveniles.

Sunday, May 29

1:49 p.m.: Officers responded to the 74000 block of Catalina reference a missing person. John Sutherland, 19, of Palm Desert left the house on foot, leaving his cell phone behind. Sutherland is 6’1", 160 lbs, brown hair, black rim glasses, black t-shirt with white lettering, tan shorts, black socks, and zebra pattern tennis shoes. Sutherland is an insulin dependent diabetic. An area check for Sutherland was conducted, with negative results, and he was entered as a missing person at risk due to his medical condition. He was found two days later in Palm Springs. The case is under investigation.

Saturday, May 28

1:25 a.m.: Officers arrested Caroline Funk, 31, of Palm Desert for driving under the influence of alcohol at Monterey Avenue and El Paseo.

5:20 a.m.: Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Park View and Highway 111. Raul Sarabia, 19, of Cathedral City was arrested for possession of cocaine, Edgar Gutierrez, 23, of Cathedral City was arrested for possession of marijuana (on parole).

1:55 p.m.: Officers responded to the Best Buy shopping center regarding an intoxicated female pushing a baby in a stroller. Officers contacted and arrested Erica Murphy, 25, of Indio for public intoxication and child endangerment.

10:13 p.m.: Officers responded to the 77400 block of Michigan reference the report of a child abuse. Miguel Robles, 34, of Palm Desert was arrested.

Friday, May 27

2:48 p.m.: Officers arrested Dedrick Lance Cambell, 26, of Palm Desert for domestic battery, public intoxication, and for violating the terms of his parole.

Thursday, May 26

4 p.m.: Officers responded to 34500 Monterey Ave. (WalMart) in reference to a verbal argument in the parking lot. David Anthony Robertson, 26, of Cathedral City was asking shoppers for money. When some citizens refused to give him money, he became extremely upset and kicked the door of a vehicle. Robertson was issued a citation for misdemeanor vandalism.

8:45 p.m.: Officers responded to 72549 Highway 111 (Target) and arrested Ana De Garcia, 40, of Palm Springs for commercial burglary.
