Wednesday, Dec. 7

6 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop at Washington Street and Harris Lane in Palm Desert. Raymond Villegas, 19, of Indio, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

2:34 p.m.: Officers conducted a pedestrian check on El Paseo and Sage Lane, and arrested Thomas Lariner, 30, of Palm Desert for two felony theft warrants.

Monday, Dec. 5

1:07 p.m.: Officers conducted a follow up investigation within the 45200 block of Deep Canyon Drive and arrested Michael Lay, 39, of Palm Desert,for possession of a stolen iPad.

4:36 p.m.: Officers responded to Walmart (34520 Monterey Ave) reference a shoplifter in custody. A 17 year-old female was arrested for shoplifting.

Sunday, Dec. 4

10:57 a.m.: Officers responded to 74855 Country Club Drive (Desert Springs Marriott) in reference to a private property traffic collision. Marcus Lopez, 51, from Yucca Valley backed into several vehicles causing minor damage. Lopez was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

3:15 p.m.: Palm Desert Theft Suppression Unit officers conducted a pedestrian check in the Wal-Mart parking lot, 34-500 Monterey Avenue. Severiano Perez, 20, of Thermal was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools.

4:13 p.m.: Rancho Mirage Theft Suppression Unit, conducted a pedestrian check at Dinah Shore and Shoppers Lane. Simon Diaz, 27, of Thousand Palms was arrested for a felony drug possession warrant. 5:22 p.m.: Officers responded to Sears, 72-880 Highway 111 reference a theft, and arrested Nancy Barroso, 26, of Desert Hot Springs for shoplifting.

6:45 p.m.: Officers responded to the 74300 block of El Camino, in reference to a domestic disturbance. Gary McMillon, 48, of Palm Desert rushed both officers and attempted to fight with them. McMillon was arrested for Battery on a Peace Officer.

Saturday, Dec. 3

No significant incidents.

Friday, Dec. 2

12:53 a.m.: Officers arrested Darnel McClendon, 18, of Palm Desert for assault with a deadly weapon in the 77-000 block of Country Club Drive. McClendon was the male portion of the listed fight below. McClendon had fled as deputies arrived on scene but was later located near the complex. McClendon struck victim with a large bottle. The victim was treated at the scene by Cal Fire and released.

4:37 p.m.: Officers conducted a pedestrian check at Washington Street and Avenue of the States reference a suspicious male walking out of CVC Pharmacy with his pants bulging as if something was concealed. The suspect had just stolen three bottles of liquor which were concealed in his pants. Andrew Malanche, 44, of Indio was subsequently arrested for commercial burglary.

5:25 p.m.: Officers served an arrest warrant in the 77-000 block of Michigan Street. Leonardo Valdez, 23, of Palm Desert , was found at the address and arrested for a domestic violence and resisting arrest warrant.

Thursday, Dec. 1

11:37 a.m.: Officers arrested Norm Wollenzier, 45, of Rancho Mirage for check fraud which occurred at The Alley located in the 72-200 block of Highway 111, Palm Desert.

Wednesday, Nov. 30

1:11 a.m.: Officers conducted a vehicle stop at Deep Canyon Drive and Highway 111. The driver, Ethan Saery, 20, of Cathedral City, was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon (cane sword).
