Police Need Help Identifying Body Found in Colorado River

The man had some distinctive tattoos, including a grim reaper on the right side of his back, according to the sheriff's department.

Police Wednesday requested the public's help to identify a body found floating in the Colorado River, near Blythe.

The body of a Latino man, between 25 to 35 years old, was found by a boater in an unincorporated area near Blythe around 12:40 p.m. Saturday, Riverside County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Thomas Velarde said.

The victim was 6-feet, 1-inch tall, 217 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He had two distinctive tattoos:  one was of the grim reaper, on the right side of his back; and another one on this chest of a cross with a ribbon bearing the names Jayden, Jordon and Janice, wrapped around it, Velarde said.

The man had short hair, and not facial hair, according to Velarde.
