An SUV slammed into the center median guardrail and spun out on westbound Interstate 10 in Palm Desert Monday, leaving three people hurt.
The crash was reported at 1:53 p.m. on the freeway east of Washington Street. Firefighters freed the occupants from the wreckage using tools, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.
Two people were moderately hurt and one person suffered minor injuries. They were taken to a hospital, Hagemann said.
The sport utility vehicle was the only vehicle involved in the crash, the California Highway Patrol reported.
