Remembering 10th Anniversary Of Sept. 11 With Free Concert
Celebration will include first responders from various Coachella Valley fire and police departments.
A decade after the unforgettable attacks of September 11, 2001, the Palm Desert Sister Cities Foundation will present a 10th Anniversary remembrance concert in Palm Desert’s Civic Center Park on Sunday, September 11.
The free concert, sponsored by the cities of Palm Desert and Palm Springs, will begin at 7:15 p.m. in the Civic Center Park amphitheater. The event will provide people from all walks of life with an opportunity to come together to celebrate universal humanity through music.
It is also a chance to honor the courage of those who gave their all on that tragic day 10 years ago as well as the dedication of all those who have served and sacrificed in the decade since. The approximately 75-minute patriotic program will feature participation by first responders including representatives from various Coachella Valley fire and police departments, as well as a color guard, and bagpipes.
