Robber Who Held Up Palm Desert Convenience Store is Sought

Palm Desert Police say a man armed with a knife threatened the clerk and demanded money.

Palm Desert Police officials are searching for a robber who struck at a Circle-K store early Nov. 29.

The robbery was reported at 3:26 a.m. at the convenience store on the southwest corner of Country Club Drive and Washington Street in Palm Desert.

Police said a man walked into the store, confronted a female cashier, brandished a knife and demanded money. The man ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash, several cartons of cigarettes and scratch-off lottery tickets, police officials said.

The robber is described as a thin black male, roughly 18 years old, about 5-foot-8, 130 pounds. He wore dark jeans, a red hoodie jacket and a blue baseball style hat.

There were no customers in the store at the time and no one was injured, police officials said.
