A shoplifting incident in San Jacinto turned into a robbery when a suspect struck a store employee and ran off with a woman carrying merchandise.
The robbery was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of South San Jacinto Avenue, according to a Riverside County sheriff’s sergeant.
The woman is black, about 25 with an average build, and wore a knit cap, dark jacket and dark pants.
The man is black, about 20, with an average build; he wore a dark plaid jacket, a yellow undershirt and dark pants.
Anyone with information on the incident was asked to call sheriff’s investigators at the San Jacinto station, 951-654-2702.
