Suspect in Pizza Restaurant Robbery is Arrested

La Quinta Police arrested a Bermuda Dunes in connection with the robbery of a Lamppost Pizza.

La Quinta Police have arrested a Bermuda Dunes man they suspect robbed a pizza restaurant on Monday.

Cory James Kozloff, 34, was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and possession of methamphetamine, officers said. And because a toddler at the home where Kozloff was arrested may have had access to drugs, the suspect may also face a charge of child endangerment, police officials said.

Kozloff was taken into custody Thursday after investigators served a search warrant in the 79-000 block of Avenue 42, in Bermuda Dunes. He was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.

Police suspect Kozloff walked into the Lamppost Pizza at 78-772 Highway 111, just east of Washington Street, about 11 p.m. Dec. 17. The robber was armed with a gun and pepper spray and demanded money from the cash register, officials said.

"The suspect sprayed an employee with pepper spray, and left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash," Riverside Sheriff's Sergeant Mike Tapp said during an earlier interview. "The suspect fled the area on foot."

Kozloff is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 26, according to sheriff’s records.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
