"Suspicious Death" Being Investigated After Man, Woman Die in Indian Wells

A dead man and a wounded woman who later died were found early Friday at an Indian Wells residence, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded to a "suspicious death" report in the 77-300 block of Sioux Drive at 4:10 a.m. The man was dead when they arrived, and the woman was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. She died at 9:30 a.m., sheriff's Deputy Armando Munoz said.

"This appears to be an isolated incident; investigators believe all parties involved in this incident are accounted for," he said.

The Riverside County Coroner's Office hasn't yet identified the victims.
