Indio Teen Arrested in Connection with Killing at Back-to-School Party

An Indio teen has been arrested in connection with the killing of a 15-year-old Hemet resident at a party in July, a Hemet police sergeant said Friday Dec. 20.

Hemet police detectives arrested Stanley Allison, 19, of Indio, on Dec. 19, Hemet police Sgt. Dave Quinn said in a statement.

The alleged homicide occurred July 27 at a back-to-school party in the southeast area of Hemet, Quinn said. The victim's name was not released with Quinn's statement.

"Hemet Police Detectives have been actively working this  case since the homicide occurred," Quinn said. "It was a lengthy investigation involving two trips out of state to conduct follow up investigations."

Hemet police presented their case to prosecutors on Dec. 20 and "the District Attorney's office agreed to file murder charges against Allison," Quinn said.

Allison is reported to have gang ties in the Perris area, and he uses the moniker "Box" or "Little Box," Quinn said.

Booking records show a Stanley Allison, 19, was in custody as of Dec. 13 on two felony concealed firearm offenses. The individual remained in custody Dec. 20 at Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

Anyone with more information was urged to call Hemet police Detective Michael Hall or Quinn at (951) 765-2400.
