Thousand Palms Man Nabbed in Burglary Investigation

Sheriff's officials say the man is suspected of burglarizing a local home.

A 23-year-old man suspected of stealing a flat- screen television and other items in Thousand Palms was behind bars Wednesday.

Someone reported a man and woman carrying a TV on Monte Vista Way around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, and arriving deputies detained the man, but the woman was gone.

Deputies subsequently found what they thought were stolen items behind a residence in the 30200 block of Monte Vista, and shortly afterward went to a residence in the 30500 block of Robert Road, where the door had been kicked in and items stolen, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
