3 Hurt in Palm Desert Crash, Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

Three people were hospitalized early Friday with injuries they sustained in a single vehicle roll-over crash in Palm Desert, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded at 3:08 a.m. Nov. 1 to Oasis Club Drive south of County Country Drive, Sgt. Ken Black of the Palm Desert Station said in a statement.

"The investigation revealed a white Isuzu SUV traveled south through the intersection at a high rate of speed and lost control when it bottomed-out on the drainage swell," Black said. "The vehicle veered left and traveled south in the northbound lane before striking the curb and overturning."

All three people in the vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries, Black said.

The driver was identified as [Name Withheld], 30, of Palm Desert, Black said.

"[Name Withheld] was arrested after being released from the hospital and booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio on felony DUI charges for causing a traffic collision causing injuries to others," Black said.

Black urged all drivers to call 9-1-1 if they see a suspected drunk driver.
