California Highway Patrol officials were cleaning up after a crash that injured at least one driver and forced the closure of lanes on Interstate 10.
The crash was reported at 1:16 p.m. just west Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs, according to CHP officer Joe Zagorski.
Officers were still sorting out the details. But according to online CHP records, two vehicles overturned. One came to rest on the road on its roof, according to the CHP.
Lanes were closed for more than an hour but by 2:20 p.m., traffic has loosened and was moving, officials said.
The condition of the injured and the cause of the crash were not immediately known. Palm Desert Patch will update this story as information becomes available.
