Banning-Beaumont Patch video by Guy McCarthy

"There's only one ridge between the fire right now and Idyllwild," Mountain Fire incident commander Jeanne Pincha-Tulley said in an interview with Banning-Beaumont Patch on Thursday July 18, 2013.

The Mountain Fire was burning two to three miles from Idyllwild on Friday July 19, USFS spokesman Bob Poole said.

Idyllwild and Fern Valley were evacuated Wedneday. By Friday afternoon, an evacuation warning was issued for neighboring Pine Cove.
