Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary in Racquet Club Community, Locked Up in Banning

A woman was arrested on suspicion of felony residential burglary Tuesday afternoon in Palm Desert and she was locked up Wednesday morning in Banning, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Palm Desert deputies responded about 12:20 p.m. Oct. 8 to the 10 block of Acapulco Drive, Sgt. Brad Farwell of the sheriff's Palm Desert Station said.

Deputies located Christina Schneider, 27, of Cathedral City, near the burglarized residence, Farwell said. She was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary at 15 Acapulco Drive, in the Silver Sands Racquet Club, according to inmate records.

Items allegedly stolen from the burglarized residence were found in Schneider's possession, Farwell said.

Schneider was held Wednesday morning at Smith Correctional in Banning on $35,000 bail, according to inmate records.
