Woman Arrested on Suspicion of DUI After Crashing Into Patrol Car

 A 38-year-old Canadian woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving when she side-swiped the rear of an unoccupied patrol vehicle in Rancho Mirage, police said this weekend.

Angela Michelle Vogt was going southbound on De Vall Drive, near Dinah Shore Drive in a silver Honda Odyssey when she side-swiped the patrol car, according to a department statement.

Police were dispatched to the scene at 11:50 p.m. Friday where they determined  Vogt appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. It was not immediately known if she was injured or where there were other occupants in her vehicle.
