Woman backs into cop's motorcycle

No one was hurt in the crash on El Paseo, according to a sheriff's deputy.

A woman backed her vehicle into a Palm Desert policeman's motorcycle Friday, but no injuries were reported.

The accident was reported at 10:15 a.m. Friday on El Paseo near San Luis Rey Avenue, according to Deputy Angel Ramos of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, which contracts with Palm Desert for its policing services.

"The officer was off the bike. The lady backed into it and it fell over,'' Ramos said.

The motorcycle had some minor scratches, the deputy said.
