A 70-year-old woman was displaced when a fire destroyed her garage and the vehicle inside in Palm Desert Thursday.
The fire was reported about 2 p.m. at a double-wide mobile home in the 38700 block of Desert Greens Drive and was contained around 20 minutes later, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
No injuries were reported.
