The body of a 59-year-old Palm Desert woman who shot herself was found Tuesday on a Palm Desert golf course, coroner's and sheriff's officials said.
Someone reported finding the woman, identified by Riverside County Coroners as Linda Carter of Palm Desert, around 7:45 a.m. at the Palm Desert Country Club, about 30 feet south of 77029 Utah Circle. Sheriff's Cpl. Angel Ramos said she used a handgun.
"For some unknown reason, she just decided to commit suicide on the golf course," he said.
The coroner's office was working to pinpoint the time of death.

Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
