A memorial and concert for the 11th Anniversary of 9 / 11 will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 11, 2012 at the Amphitheatre at Palm Desert Civic Center Park.
The free concert is an opportunity to come together to celebrate universal humanity through music and honor the courage of those who suffered and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Presented by the Palm Desert Sister Cities Foundation, the approximately 75 minute patriotic and tribute themed program has become the premier remembrance event in The Coachella Valley and will be one of many remembrance events occurring throughout the United States and around the world on 9 / 11 / 12. Organizers expect hundreds to attend the Palm Desert event based on the four previous remembrances.
Attendees are encouraged to bring water, chairs, blankets, picnics and a candle to this free event.
