Deadline Imposed for Bump and Grind Solution
Lawmakers set a deadline for DFG to come to compromise regarding Upper Bump and Grind Trail access.
A solution may be on the way for hikers wanting access to the upper portion of the Bump and Grind Trail.
Lawmakers gave the State Department of Fish & Game one week to come up with a solution before giving a final vote on AB 880, which would restore access to hikers.
The bill, co-authored by assemblymembers Brian Nestande (R-Palm Desert) and Manuel Perez (D-Coachella), following a Fish & Game decision to of the trail to preserve Bighorn Sheep habitat.
