Assemblyman To Hold Neighborhood Meeting

Assemblyman Brian Nestande, R-Palm Desert, wants to hear from residents about the economy, health care and education at a neighborhood meeting Tuesday.

The event -- set from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bermuda Dunes Community Center, 78400 Avenue 42 in Bermuda Dunes -- is part of a series of meet-and-greets throughout the 64th District, according to Rob Flanigan, Nestande’s chief of staff.

The legislator also wants to hear about any issue that is weighing on the minds of local residents.

“It is important to me to be accessible to my constituents and remain focused on the concerns of the people in my district,’’ Nestande said. “These meetings are informal and open to all issues of importance to our community.”
