Aurora Wilson Makes Council Run Official

Widow of former County Supervisor to run for City Council

Long time desert resident Aurora Wilson has qualified for the November ballot, hoping to be elected to the Palm Desert City Council.

According to City Clerk Rachelle Klassen, Wilson filed the paperwork with the necessary 20 Palm Desert resident signatures on Monday.

Wilson, the widow of former County Supervisor Roy Wilson, will vie for one of Three City Council seat in November's election.  Wilson is the fourth person to qualify for the November election.

Her platform, according to her website, includes insuring public safety and fiscal responsibility as priorities.
