Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (R-Palm Springs) and challenger Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Coachella) have agreed to terms on a televised debate next month.
The October 12th debate will be televised by KMIR and co-sponsored by KMIR and The Desert Sun.
No details have been released about the format of the debate.
The debate will be the second for the incumbent, who took on Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet in a 2010 debate. Ruiz is making his first run at elected office, and in his first political debate appearance.
